About
I’m on a quest to bring back an old vision of mankind; a vision of beauty, of harmony, and of truth. Truth has not left us; it is still to be found around the world erected in ancient temples, carved in stone, echoing through forgotten halls; hinting at a time when mankind once were aligned to the cosmos. In our time we are far from being aligned—we are destroying ourselves.
Our world is starving for alignment to the cosmos—for something which can once more lift our eyes to the heavens; to where they belong. Through my lens I to search for this truth, to explore what has been forgotten; to bring new light to our shared legacy, and to provide a new vision for the future.
Hi, my name is Glenn. I’m a Norwegian photographer and visual storyteller. I'm captivated by the sublime, and by finding the sacred in the profane. I'm fascinated with philosophy, architecture and history. I want to challenge the narrative of the 'church of progress' and our depraved modern way of life—we need to change.
I grew up on an island on the west coast of Norway. For the better part of my life I was obsessed with video games and it was all I cared about. In university I studied engineering and in my later years I worked in construction as a TIG-welder for 5 years—shaping metal and buildings with utmost care and precision. I didn’t discover photography until much later in life when I was on a holiday in Dubrovnik, Croatia. I was struck by the charm of this old city, its magnificent architecture, its brick-laid streets and many archways. That day something clicked inside me, and I picked up my phone and I began shooting. I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since.
To date, I’ve explored over 30 countries, mostly alone, drawn to places where architecture, spirit, and memory still breathe. My work is a mix of documentary, philosophical and anthrophological in nature. I’m currently based in Southeast Asia, working on various long-term projects, but my main mission is the travel magazine I'm in the process of launching, called Vision Quest.
